I've Been Told I'm a Unicorn
“She IS a unicorn
of myth and legend
Existing between worlds and dimensions
Treasured and desired
Experienced and craving more
Unicorn is fantasy, fiction, fact”
A snippet of what was written in a very thoughtful belated birthday card.
Not gonna lie, I was left a little speechless. In the moment I couldn’t find the words to adequately express how flattered I am that our time together has such a positive impact. And quite frankly, I still don’t.
This isn’t my first time receiving high praise, and yet no words form. Why?
I think it’s because, to me, I never thought what I do is all that special. I simply go into our date with the desire to provide a phenomenal experience for everyone involved. Isn’t that what any good provider does?
I hold myself to a very high standard (in many aspects of my life) and forget that a lot of people don’t. What I consider to be bare minimum, others would see as going above and beyond.
I may not know what to say when I'm referred to as a unicorn, but know that it warms my heart deeply. Bringing immense pleasure to those around me is simply what I do, and I absolutely love it.
