The Finer Things

The finer things are great, and I love getting all dolled up—but don’t let what you see online fool you. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with a “simple” date.

“So why do you only post pictures of the extravagant side of things?”

Because it photographs better, lol. A photo of me at a five-star restaurant is going to look much better than me in sweatpants, Chinese takeout on my lap, watching Netflix.

And we all know how important first impressions are, so of course I’ll choose the scenario that puts me in the best light. But no, I don’t need to always be “wined and dined.” “Cider and takeout” is great too.
